Mission of Japan Standard Time Group
National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT)
plays an important role in the Generation, Comparison, and Dissemination
of Japan Standard Time and Frequency standard, which has a direct impact
on the life of the nation.
Herein, International Atomic Time and Coordinated Universal Time, which
form the basis for standard times around the globe, Japan Standard Time
included, are described first.
Then, the three major functions of the Japan Standard
Time Group(Generation, Comparison, and Dissemination of Japan Standard
Time)are introduced.
